The Deck Builder was the strategic heart of Nitro Stars — the screen where all player decisions happen before a race. It had to feel intuitive and fast to navigate while communicating deep upgrade logic, colour-coded card systems, and evolving vehicle states without overwhelming new players.
I put significant emphasis on wireframing and prototyping to validate the Deck Builder flow before committing to visual polish. Multiple rounds of user flow mapping defined the screen architecture, after which the UI design — neon blue and pink palette, bold HUD typography — was built on top of a clear and tested UX foundation.
Mapped the full player journey from home screen through Deck Builder to race start. Identified where strategy decisions happen and how to surface them clearly.
Built extensive lo-fi wireframes of the Deck Builder and supporting screens. Iterated on card hierarchy, upgrade readability, and navigation patterns before any visual work began.
Applied the game's neon racing identity — electric blue, hot pink, bold display type — across HUD, menus, Deck Builder, and results screens. Designed colour-coded card systems to telegraph rarity and power at a glance.
Delivered annotated Figma specs, motion guidelines, and asset exports for Android resolution targets.
