UI, UX & 2D Art — iOS & Android

A game with 400M+ downloads had accumulated years of UI debt. The garage, vehicle selection, and meta screens were fragmented and inconsistent. The challenge was to unify them under a clear design system — yellow and black, high contrast, automotive energy — while simultaneously producing the 2D art assets (car renders, gold/silver finishes) the new UI depended on.

2DArt + UI/UX

The project ran in parallel streams: UI/UX redesign and 2D art production. I built the style guide first — colour system, typography, component tokens — then moved into extensive wireframing ('lots and lots of wireframes') to stress-test every flow. Visual experimentation ran alongside, exploring different directions for the car presentation layer. The result was a cohesive garage and meta-UI backed by high-quality 2D renders shipped into the live game.

03Process

01 — Style Guide & Design System

Defined the yellow/black automotive design language: colour tokens, typography scale, iconography, and component library that would govern all screens.

02 — 2D Art Production

Created high-fidelity car renders — gold, silver, and chrome finishes — for the new garage and vehicle showcase surfaces. Art direction aligned with the game's high-energy automotive brand.

03 — Wireframing & Visual Experimentation

Produced extensive wireframes across garage, vehicle selection, and meta flows. Ran parallel visual explorations to find the strongest direction before full fidelity.

04 — Final UI & Handoff

Assembled final high-fidelity screens and handed off to engineering with specs, assets, and motion references. Screens shipped in the live iOS & Android build.
